A Member of Parliament representing Yei River County in Central Equatoria State Legislative Assembly is suggesting creation of allowances to increase low salaries of civil servants in the country.
Jenifer Yabu Lasuba says civil servants receiving monthly salary of 270 South Sudanese Pounds cannot afford the current expensive cost of living, Radio Easter reports.
She calls on the government to motivate civil servants to work with high morale.
Many children of civil servants have gone to streets because low salaries of their parents, Yabu says.
