Yei River County Women Association says more than five percent of girls exchange their pride in sex for money to survive.

The association’s chairperson, Nadia Rosaline says most girls involving in prostitution are orphans, school dropouts or those abandoned by husbands, Radio Easter reports.

Others are those forced to early marriage, she adds.

Nadia calls on the government to support the widows and orphans who are stranded after losing their husbands and parents respectively.

The women urge for more capacity building of women and girls to realize self reliance.
