Exactly one year from the fundraising campaign, the administration of the radio managed to fence the premises, build the new complex and a reception hut that would be blessed tomorrow.
Talking to SCR news, the Directress of Bakhita radio Sister Cecilia Sierra said the administration of the radio is inviting those who funded the building, listeners, good wishers and all people to bless the new complex and the studios that come as part of their contribution.
Sr. Sierra revealed that the occasion is a great achievement and a gesture of trust and accountability for the people who contributed to the building.
She praised the staff and administration of the radio for playing a leading role in promoting the work and the activities of the radio.
Although there was a tremendous contribution from well wishers, most of the funds came from Bakhita’s own income.
Bakhita Radio is a member of the Sudan Catholic Radio Network SCRN that operates in all the Southern States to promote reconciliation, civic education and communication for peace.
Many church personnel, government dignitaries, NGOs, heads of institutions and listeners of Bakhita radio are expected to attend for the occasion.
