Power consumers in feeder “A” were deprived of power due to a technical difficulty that occurred in one of electricity generators.
Speaking to SCR news, Ajuoi Magot Chol Director General of southern Sudan electricity Corporation said consumers in line “A” who went for about two weeks without power would today have it.
Mr. Chol affirmed that line “A” has the second highest electric consumption after feeder “B”, that covers the areas of the ministries, Hai Amarat, the Southern Sudan Assembly and Hai Jalaba.
Feeder “A” consists of Juba town, Hai Malakal, Konyokonyo, Kator, Juba University and Atlabara residential areas among others.
Mr. Chol concluded that the power station provides approximately ten Mega Watts. To cover the whole of Juba, at least thirty Mega Watts would be needed.
