Sudan, South Sudan and the World Food Program, WFP have extended a Memorandum of Understanding for delivery of humanitarian supplies.

The agreement guarantees delivery of relief items through the River Nile and Sudan-South Sudan conflict affected border areas, Radio Bakhita reports.

South Sudan representative, Clement Taban says the agreement is valid for six months.

The accord is expected to improve the delivery of humanitarian cargo to conflict affected areas in the country, he explains.

Taban says Unity and Northern Bar el Ghazal States can access food through Sudanese land according to the agreement.

Sudan and South Sudan governments signed a similar Memorandum of Understanding in July 2014.
