World AIDS Day commemoration in Rumbek East organized by an NGO, ACROSS was postponed due to insecurity.
Andrew Marial, Rumbek East Program Coordinator for ACROSS, says rumours about insecurity interrupted the arrangement, Radio Good News reports.
Fighting was rumoured at Pachong area along the road to the venue of the occasion.
He says the day is not for celebration, but remembrance of those who lost their lives.
Radio Good News could not reach state authorities for comments about the fighting.
