The minister of health in Central Equatoria state officially opened today an emergency ward and a blood bank in El Sabah children hospital in Juba.
Speaking to reporters this morning in Juba, Dr. Emmanuel Ija said the African Union allocated about sixteen thousand US Dollars for the renovation of the emergency ward in El Sabah hospital.
The new ward would minimize congestion in El Sabah children hospital, which is the only children hospital that offers quality medical services to the children from across southern Sudan.
The emergency ward has been in bad conditions for the last six months. Dr. Emmanuel Ija added that his ministry and the administration of the hospital would try to renovate and maintain also some other wards within the hospital.
