The drainage system in Rumbek town is being worked upon to ensure a relatively smooth flow of water during the ongoing rainy season.
The program is implemented by Rumbek Town Council.
Speaking to Radio Good, Mr. Mabor Chawuob Mabor, Rumbek Town Clerk said that the construction of the drainage system in Rumbek Town is part of the plans of the Town Council through the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure to upgrade the state of Rumbek Town.
Mr. Mabor Chawuob explained that the process of upgrading Rumbek town had halted because of logistical problems, adding that the Town Council is committed to deal with stagnant water in Rumbek Town.
Rumbek town faces a problem with its drainage system with stagnant water posing a threat to the health of the inhabitants of the densely populated township.
