Representatives of Wau and Jur River Counties discussed the renaming of the proposed Wau state.
Paul Atuk, one of the elders, welcomes the idea of the new state.
But, he is against the name of Wau.
Atuk suggests that historical the name Bahr El Ghazal should be maintained.
Michael Geba Ukello, one of the participants, insists the name Wau is suitable.
He asks why they should retain Bahr El Ghazal name that has been abandoned by other parts of the region.
During the consultative meeting, the community also discussed border issues with the neighbouring states and Central African Republic.
A 5-member committee was formed to collect information about the border and increase the number of counties.
