Media houses and Non-Governmental Organizations formed a forum yesterday to educate the citizens on civic education ahead of the referendum scheduled for 9th January next year.
The forum formed was named Civic Education Forum in Greater Yei. It is headed by the General Secretary from the Institute for Promotion of Civil Society, radio Easter reported.
The forum will find ways to educate the rural and urban population on the meaning of the referendum and how to vote in January.
Mr. Oliver Modi Philipo, the information officer of Institute for Promotion of Civil Society, told the participants that the messages to be designed will not bear information for unity nor separation,n but for the citizen to vote wisely in the referendum. He added that many citizens did not get enough civic education in the April election.
