Lakes government directs chiefs to disarm, arrest armed youth

The Lakes State Government has instructed chiefs to remove guns from armed youth.
 
Youth of the area recently took guns from the organized forces after killing several of them, Radio Good News reports.
 
Deputy Governor, Mabor Achol Kuer says youth sections of Rup, Kuei of Rumbek Centre and Pakam of Rumbek North are the target groups for disarmament and arrest.
 
The armed youth will face the law, says the Deputy Governor.
 
Stop cattle rustling and ambushing cars on roads, the Deputy Governor warns the youth.
 
Stop attacking people in Rumbek town and looting houses, he adds.
 
Mabor says the warring communities agreed to reconcile.
 
It was resolved that Pakam of Rumbek North should move back to their place in Mapar, announces the Deputy Governor.
 
Rup communities should move back to Malek Payam from Rumbek East, he adds.
 
The Deputy Governor asks residents in Lakes State to live in peace and harmony.
