A Member of Parliament asks the Council of States to address the differences over the creation of 28 states in South Sudan.

The establishment order on creation of more states will divide South Sudanese instead of decentralizing the country for unity, Aleu Ayieng Aleu says.

He observes that the issue seems to be creating serious problems, Radio Bakhita reports.

Listen to everybody, there are grievances that must be addressed, MP Ayieng warns.

The parliament on Thursday amended 2011 Transitional Constitution to accommodate the creation of 28 states by President Kiir.

The amendment also gives President Kiir powers to appoint governors and Members of Parliament instead of election by the people.

The Council of States is expected to convene to decide on the states establishment order.
