The Intergovernmental Authority on Development, IGAD has sent in 139 civil service technocrats to improve the capacity of South Sudanese government employees.
Advisor in the Ministry of Labour and Public Services, John Itorong, says the professionals are drawn from Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia, Radio Bakhita reports.
The IGAD deployment is the implementation of Capacity Enhancement Project targeting civil servants, Itorong explains.
Ethiopian Ambassador Fre Tesfamichael Tasfatsion urges the incoming experts to cooperate with South Sudanese authorities to ensure success of the project.
The Capacity Enhancement Project has been running in South Sudan for four years.
Norwegian government funds the project implemented by United Nations Development Program, UNDP.
