Eastern Equatoria State Assembly approves transfer of fund for construction of government buildings to pay benefits to members of parliament.

This is revealed by Chairperson of the Committee of Economic Affairs Dominic Otwar.

The money amounting to over five million South Sudanese Pounds was meant for government buildings in the state, Radio Emmanuel reports.

MP Otwar defends to transfer because there was insufficient money available for the benefits.

Another MP Otim Karlo tasks the committee to explain about the difference in allocations to Namorunyang and Imotong State Assemblies.

Assembly Chief Whip Charles Udwar says Namorunyang State Assembly should be given extra money to fill gaps of inadequate infrastructure.

The State Assembly approves over 142 million for Imotong.

It also endorses over 113 Million South Sudanese Pounds for Namorunyang states in the budget allocations.
