The Administrative Board of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC is assembling in Khartoum, Sudan from next Wednesday to Friday to prepare for January 2016 plenary in Rome, Italy.
SCBC Secretary-General Fr Jacob Odwa Paul told CRN on Thursday in Juba that he will fly to Khartoum on Friday to join his colleagues to organize an agenda for the bishops’ meeting.
He says the Bishops chose to meet in Rome to tell Pope Francis and other Vatican authorities’ achievements and challenges facing the two countries.
The Secretary-General calls on the faithful to continue praying for their leaders to be strong in faith and succeed in their pastoral works.
The Administrative Board of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference is the steering committee to prepare a timetable for the plenary before the bishops meet in Rome.
