Rumbek residents are in shock over the high price of fuel in their town.

Boda-boda riders report to Radio Good News that now petrol price has risen to 90 South Sudanese Pounds.

Last week a liter was only 50 Pounds when the government banned the sale of fuel at streets.

Mayen Deng Mayen, another Boda-Boda rider, calls upon the government to allow the sale of petrol again along the streets again.

Mabor Chawuop Mabor is the mayor of Rumbek town. He tells Radio Good News that his order was meant to reduce the number of fuel sellers on the street.

The mayor believes selling fuel along the streets and in residential areas is dangerous.

Mayor Mabor asks the public to calm down and promises that fuel will arrive in one week time.
