More than three hundred national staff and individual contractors of United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei are striking, demanding salary payment in dollars.

They warn that they will not resume work unless their grievances are addressed, Radio Voice of Peace reported.

Another staff says they are forced to go on peaceful strike because of the situation and that the salary no longer sustains their families.
