An Egyptian delegation visited Juba to follow up pledges made by their government to support southern Sudan Ministry of Health.
In a statement to reporters at Juba International Airport before his departure for Khartoum, Hathim Al Jebely, leader of the Egyptian team to southern Sudan, revealed that his government is going to build clinics in Bor and Gogrial, and that the project would be completed in early January 2011.
Mr. Al Jebely revealed that his team also followed up the agreement reached in Khartoum to reduce the maternal mortality rate and pledged that the Egyptian government would extend health services also to other states of southern Sudan.
The Egyptian government established the Egyptian clinic in Juba, where many mothers and children seek medical treatment.
