Cabinet admits about 4 million people under severe lack of food

The Council of Ministers agrees with earlier concerns of UN agencies that thirty-four percent of the population is classified severely food insecure.
 
This is an 80 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
 
UNICEF in its report says of extreme concern are the people in Unity State.
 
Their situation may become famine in the absence of urgent humanitarian access.
