Yei Mayor is calling on the national and state governments to deploy security operatives along Yei-Juba road.
Santo Paul Lasuba says creating stability will lead to freedom of movement and development, Radio Easter reported.
He made the call following continues reports of harassment and killings of civilians by unknown gunmen over the previous weeks.
Similar cases of killings are also reported along Juba-Kajo-Keji road in which five civilians killed and two others wounded in a road ambush this week.
