South Sudan Refugees Affairs Commission reveals that verification of asylum seekers from Sudan started on Monday in Juba.

Commission Protection Officer Bol John Akot tells Radio Bakhita that they work closely with the United Nations Refugees agency or UNHCR to register new arrivals in Juba to transfer them to camps.

Commission Deputy Commissioner John Dabi appeals to international community to share the burden of hosting refugees in South Sudan.

The officials say registration of the asylum seekers is expected to take place in November after the verification.
