Bishop Ceasar Mazzolari Kindergarten emerged the first in schools’ hygiene and sanitation competition during Global Hand Washing ceremony in Rumbek on Tuesday; generating overt excitement from its administration.
Bishop Ceasar Mazzolari Kindergarten Head teacher Sr Colete Wanjala says the children made inspiring performance of poems, songs and creative dance to promote hygiene in community, Radio Good News reported.
The head teacher urges parents to dig and use pit latrines to enable children to begin learning hygienic practices from home up to school.
Five schools participated in the Global Hand Washing celebrations on Tuesday organized by Lakes State Directorate of Water and Sanitation in partnership with United Nations Children Fund or UNICEF.
