South Sudan Land Alliance or SSULA on Friday formed a lobby group to engage with National Legislative Assembly members on Land Policy Bill.
SSULA Program Coordinator Savior Wodcan Lazarus says the engagement seeks to obtain the views of parliamentarians on Land Policy Bill draft and then reconcile differences, Radio Bakhita reported.
The advocacy alliance comprising of six members from six states says land governance system is crucial for South Sudan as stipulated in August 17, 26 Compromise Peace Agreement and that discussion on land policy that should have come out before Land Act is timely.
The alliance is reviewing the Land Act to engage stakeholders from different institutions such as the land commission.
