Kumbur Payam administrator in Heiban County advised Nuba citizens to clean around their homes, churches, mosques, hospitals and schools to avoid wildfire.
Speaking on Sunday shortly after the mass in Gidel, Jibrin Musa Al Kheir stressed the need to have all homesteads and institutions cleaned to avoid fire resulting from usual dry season aerial bombing, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He urged chiefs and other community leaders to mobilize their people to implement the exercise as soon as possible to protect their environment and property from anticipated fire destruction in the Nuba Mountains.
