Three states of south Sudan have benefited from the fifty five US million dollars donated by the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Agro-business in South Sudan.

Eastern, Central and Western Equatoria states, occupy the green belt of the region, are the beneficiary.
State minister of agriculture animal resources and fisheries in Eastern Equatoria state, Jerome Surur Gama, said that the project will kick off within the next coming weeks. He added that the money will be divided equally among the three counties selected in each state. He noted that counties of Magwi, Ikotos and Budi have been selected in Eastern Equatoria.
Mr. Surur said the project is aimed at transforming the region from depending on relief food to a commercial agricultural production area.

Eastern, Central and Western Equatoria states are agricultural areas that produced food and supplied other regions of Sudan before the two decades of civil war
