Presidency urges EU to respect Kiir’s decision of new states

The office of the Presidenct of the Republic is urging the European Union or EU to respect President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s decision of creating more states in South Sudan.
 
Press Secretary Ateny Wek Ateny told CRN that the process was constitutional, describing it as normal process in the constitution of South Sudan.
 
EU in a statement condemned President Kiir’s unilateral decree of establishing 28 states, saying it was a violation of the peace agreement.
 
It urges him to suspend his decision until parties to the agreement handle the matter during the constitutional making process.
