Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC Secretary-General said ‘creation of new states is for national development’.
Fr Jacob Odwa Paul told CRN on Tuesday that the establishment of 28 states was fulfillment of the vision of the late leader Dr John Garang to take towns to the people.
He advises South Sudanese to understand that creating more states is giving people the power stipulated in the Transitional Constitution rather than dividing them.
The Secretary-General was talking to CRN on his way to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to participate in the meeting of Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa Secretary-Generals.
