Faith-based organization activist on Monday warns that regrouping tribes in the newly created 28 states is disintegration of South Sudan from nationhood as opposed to the need for unity.
Isaac Kenyi Kungur tells CRN in an exclusive interview that creating 28 states on tribal regrouping is a wrong ideology, endangering sense of belonging based on commonalities as a nation.
He says the first priority of South Sudan should be unity and justice to address mid December 2013 crisis that tore the social fabric and intensified impunity on atrocities.
Mr Kenyi points out that President Salva Kiir’s creation of 28 states is based on decentralization system of governance which is opposed to popular demand for implementation of federalism.
The activist says South Sudan affairs are not completely independent from regional and international veto and that President Salva Kiir’s move is subjective.
