The vast majority and ninety nine percent of south Sudanese are for separation, said the chairperson of the SPLM youth League.

Talking to SCR news, Akol Paul said SPLM, which has been voted by the people in the past elections, has the sole responsibility of safeguarding the separation opinion.
He added that unity has not been made attractive since the signing of the CPA and that the southerners have been exposed to militia, lack of transparency in the oil sector, obstruction of justice, and have been treated as second class citizens in Khartoum.
The Government of National Unity launched this month developmental projects that aim at making unity attractive during the referendum.

Mr. Akol commented that the donations are welcome although too late to make unity attractive, and described the projects as a way to create good relationship between two neighboring nations after the secession of the south.

Mr. Akol mentioned that the SPLM youth league has organized several sectors that are spearheading civic education at the grass root levels all over south Sudan.
