Dear friends, today the news is that “IT IS CHRISTMAS”!
Sudan Catholic Radio Network (SCRN) started its testing period on Christmas Night 2006.Radio Bakhita, the first-born station of SCRN, started blessing the air of Juba with words and songs of peace.
The Archbishop of Juba, Paolino Lokudu Loro, told the people to listen to the programs and give their opinion. Bakhita radio was their radio, a forum for encounter and growth, while grappling with the differences and divisions of our wounded Sudan.
In 2009 three more stations started spreading a message of peace and reconciliation in Nuba Mountains, Torit and Malakal.
In 2010 three more stations of SCRN will reach out to the people, in Rumbek, Tonj and Yei.
The journey has been tough, but it has been fruitful.
Difficulties and delays have not hampered our vision of A RECONCILED SOCIETY, BUILT ON HUMAN AND SPIRITUAL VALUES, ROOTED IN JUSTICE AND HONESTY
Since 2005 the healing process is progressing slowly…. but it is progressing.
We thanks God, who has endowed many Sudanese with Hope and Patience, with Endurance and Vision. The year to come, 2010, is dense of expectations:
The Elections and the Referendum are decisive building blocks for a peaceful and democratic Sudan.
Receive wishes and blessings of Peace from Sudan Catholic Radio Network!
With your collaboration we will become more and more an effective means of PEACE…
With the Catholic Bishops of Sudan we reaffirm: NO RETURN TO WAR!!!
PEACE! SALAM!
