Action for Development and Jur River County authorities in Western Bahr El Ghazal State are launching Kwajok-Kangi Payam a feeder road rehabilitation funded by World Food Programme or WFP to the tune of three hundred thousand and five hundred and thirty-one US Dollars.
WFP head in Wau Raymond Otim says the 41-kilometre feeder road would ease basic services delivery to nearly 19 thousand households and boost agricultural productivity if completed, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
Action for Development Executive Director in Wau Alfred Ecega says they will contribute by enlightening citizens and providing agricultural tools and seeds to affected households as their compensated.
Jur River County Commissioner Simon Atuai acknowledges the support extended to his County, saying his people need roads to enable them reach the market with local produce.
For many Locals in Kangi like William Abuoch, the road would enable them sell their products and improve relationship among the two communities.
Kangi-Kwajok road is one of the one thousand- kilometre roads WFP commit to rehabilitate through its support operation of network across South Sudan.
The road project is expected to create employment to the local population as extension workers.
