Women in Morobo County of Central Equatoria State during the training on good governance, women rights and leadership, call on human rights groups to develop policies to guarantee observation of women rights in various communities.
One of the women, Ajonye Mary Carlo, says women’s rights and fundamental freedoms are abused in the society, appealing to rights groups and the government to address challenges affecting their lives, Radio Easter reported.
Centre for Democracy and Development Executive Director Arike Joseph Moses says the training seeks to empower women with skills on leadership and decision making processes.
The training which started on Monday and concluded on Wednesday was organized by Center for Democracy and Development with funds from SUCCESS through USAID.
