The Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the National Congress Party (NCP) set off today to share the Canadian experiences of the referendum.
Dr. Anne Itto, SPLM deputy Secretary General for the southern sector and head of the SPLM delegation to Canada, spoke to the press before take off in Juba.
She said the SPLM will meet senior members of the Canadian government and of institutions that were involved in the organization of the Canadian referendum exercise. She added that SPLM will inform the Canadian public about the struggles in Sudan and the progress of the CPA implementation.
She also confirmed that the SPLM delegation will meet the Sudanese community living in Canada and brief them on the referendum process.
