Initiative for Peace Communication Association on Saturday held a local youth forum in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State on understanding the role of the young people in peace process.
The Association’s Executive Director Joseph Edward in his opening remarks says the forum helps them to get views from the youth to engage community members in peace building process, Radio Easter reported.
Yei County Women Association chairlady, Nadia Roseline commended the association for organizing the forum, adding that through collective views youth can strengthen their unity and role in nation building.
The forum drew youth from associations, disability unions, churches, mosques, secondary schools, government departments, and civil society organizations in Yei.
Initiative for Peace Communication Association is expected to hold another dialogue on October 3.
