Citizens of Yei River County of Central Equatoria State on Tuesday warmly welcomed new commissioner Samuel Henry Malimba to take his office.
State Local Government Minister Gerard Francis urges citizens to consider leadership changes normal, calling on them to cooperate with the new leaders for better service delivery, Radio Easter reported.
Yei former Commissioner Bidali Cosmas Wori-Kojo pledged to continue collaborating with his successor and the Mayor by working as their political advisor.
Commissioner Samuel Henry Malimba commended the state government for trusting him to lead Yei County, promising to work together with Payam leaders and citizens.
The leaders made the remarks during new commissioner’s welcoming ceremony at Yei Crop Training Centre in the Municipality.
