SPLM-North leadership in areas of control in the Nuba Mountains issued an order banning use of drugs and sporadic gun shooting in a civilian community.
SPLM-N Captain Abdallah Hamid Juma warns residents of Amdurafi area of Amdurdu Administrative Unit that any violator shall be punished seriously, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
The order forbids bleaching, wearing short clothes, bad dances and drugs consumption including opium described as the most destructive nicotine.
The order directs those possessing guns to collect them at an indicated gathering centre.
The order follows a Council of Boma youth representatives and chiefs’ legal meeting with SPLM-N leaders held in June.
