Official warns of hunger death in Eastern Equatoria

National Education Ministry Gender Equity and Social Change Director-General warned that death is expected in Eastern Equatoria State if the situation is not rescued due to poor harvest this year.
 
Esther Akumu Achire confirms to CRN on Friday in Juba that when they went for the International Literacy Day celebration in Torit, they realized that the state is badly affected because of poor rainfall, lamenting that all crops already dried up.
 
The Director observes that some people are quitting their areas to where they can find food.
