EE Governor recommends boarding schools to increase pastoralists’ literacy

Eastern Equatoria State Governor while speaking during the World Literacy Day at Torit Freedom Square on Thursday recommended establishment of boarding schools to improve education and reduce illiteracy rate in the country.
 
Louis Lobong Lojore noted that large number of the state population is illiterate due to pastoralist norms of communities, adding that only boarding schools could help retain children at learning institutions, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
National ministry of Education Undersecretary Michael Lopuke Lotyam appreciated Eastern Equatorial State for proper use of the capitation grant.
