Eastern Equatoria Governor calls on non-governmental organizations and development partners working in the state to be transparent.
Louis Lobong Lojore in his opening remarks during the launch of Care International three-year food security and livelihood project on Wednesday in Torit, pledges good working relationship with partners and staff safety, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Care International South Sudan Country Director John Hoare says the project aims at building capacity for sustainable food security in the state by empowering women.
Care Program Coordinator for Eastern Equatoria State Sylvia Kaawe says the project is implemented in Torit, Ikwotos and Magwi Counties to address economic sustainability and food security needs of communities.
She discloses that the project targets about 30 thousand beneficiaries in the three counties of Eastern Equatoria State.
Ms Kaawe says World Vision, Oxfam and other members of a consortium with Care International also implement similar projects in Warrap, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Central and Western Equatoria States.
