Animal disease outbreak reportedly killed about one thousand two hundred and eighty mostly cows in less than a month in Umm-Dorrain of Nuba Mountains.
Community Deputy Director Musa John Atebere on Friday said the disease broke out in early July, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He says the outbreak was due some animals that entered the area from Jau, near Yida Refugee camp in Unity State of South Sudan.
Mr John explained that concerned authorities received the information about the outbreak so late but managed to treat some animals.
