South Sudan currency gains value with peace signing

Hard currency dealers in Wau say Dollar rate sharply dropped as lower as 11 South Sudanese Pounds per one Dollar compared to nine Pounds immediately after signature of the peace agreement on Wednesday.
 
One of those buying in the black market in Wau Amule Peter says people are exchanging their Dollars, taking the advantage of the current price as they anticipate the price to drop more in black market in the coming days, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
Abdul-gasim Ibrahim who owns a boutique dealing in clothes and shoes says as Dollars depreciate, they are going to reduces prices.
 
A boutique dealer in the Jau Market, Alfa Kaba, says though the Dollar fell he would not reduce current commodities because he bought them at high price.
 
Dealers in Western Bahr El Ghazal say as of Wednesday evening they were able to receive customers who willingly agreed to sell at 14 Pounds per a Dollar and on Friday they were buying it at 12 Pounds while in other market corners others could even sell at 11 Pounds.
