A Kenyan court sentenced three South Sudanese youth to one-year imprisonment and fined them to pay 20 thousand Kenyan shillings.

Kapoeta East County Commissioner Titus Lokwachuma says the youth were accused of collaborating with criminals and living in Kenya without legal documents, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He discloses consulting with Eastern Equatoria State authorities in Torit in order to facilitate quick release of the young people in Kenya.

The Commissioner notes that the meeting aims at restoring mutual relationship with his counterpart in Kenya and between Toposa of South Sudan and Turkana of Kenya.
