Human Rights Defenders in Yei River County and the Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development or CEFORD on Monday called for investigation, arrest and justice to murderers of Western Equatoria State Speaker and Corporate Newspaper journalist.
CEFORD’s Human Rights Defender Benson Khamis Soro strongly condemned the killing of journalist Moi Peter and Speaker Bage Elisa, appealing for calm in Western Equatoria State, Radio Easter reported.
He also urged the government to sign peace in order to get rid of power hungry individuals causing insecurity in the state and the nation at large.
The Human Rights Defender said ‘without journalists, the nation will be gloomy’ with continuous mesh up.
