Ugandan traders in Custom market lamented illegal taxes imposed on them by unknown people.

Speaking to journalists at Custom market in Juba a trader who spoke on anonymity said people wearing police uniform collect their money illegally.

The traders explained that their property is being looted from their petty stores on daily basis. They said the conmen tax them without giving them receipts and in some occasions the receipts are issued without stamp.

The traders revealed that illegal taxes would increase the cost of the goods they resale for the locals.
They lamented that no legal action is taken by the concern authority against anybody accused of doing the action.
