At least twenty-five local civil society organizations’ representatives and partners on Wednesday concluded a two-day workshop in Heiban County in Nuba Mountains to address the worsening humanitarian situation in the state.
Nuba Mountains’ Humanitarian Coordinator, Kukandi Kalu Shaluka told Radio Voice of Peace on Thursday that the seminar set up priorities for fundraising and advocacy in 2016 to address challenges facing local NGOs working in Nuba Mountains.
He says the meeting resolved to work with transparency to ensure safe and equal service delivery to people without corruption, tribalism, favoritism and nepotism.
The forum which started on Tuesday in Kulurubu ended on Wednesday with assurance from local NGOs to deliver basic services including food, health, clean water and education to citizens next year without duplication of resources in some areas.
