Kajo-Keji County Press Secretary on Thursday confirms that the civil population is in panic following a heavy military deployment in a peaceful area.

Derrick Derickson tells CRN in a telephone interview that residents live in fear of the military deployment without any clue of necessity.

The Press Secretary also confirms civilians’ complaints that the soldiers go begging or grabbing property in the area and that there was tension during the first advancement of the military to Wudu Trading Centre recently.

South Sudan Transitional Constitution Article 28 (2) states ‘No private property may be expropriated save by law in the public interest and in consideration for prompt and fair compensation. No private property shall be confiscated save by an order of a court of law’.
