Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Pastor in Charge of Birisi Chapel in Yambio Diocese says he narrowly escaped from several attacks at church premise and homestead on Wednesday when two SPLA members hunted for him under gunpoint.

Pastor John Elisama Maingbayo has re-appeared in Yambio after two days of hiding in bush for the safety of his life, Radio Anisa reported.

He says the SPLA members’ hunt for him came after one of them was shot dead by unknown gunman at Birisi Boma.

Pastor Elisama discloses that his family members escaped to a neighbouring village.

He urges the civil population to be prayerful.

Radio Anisa was unable to contact the SPLA administration for comments.
