The National Alliance challenges the Intergovernmental Authority on Development or IGAD Plus proposed power sharing ratio giving 90 percent to only SPLM factions.

Alliance Secretary-General David William on Friday read out a press statement, saying the proposed power sharing would not lead to good governance and sustainable peace in the country, Radio Bakhita reported.

The Alliance suggests constitutional conference to be conducted first for South Sudanese to decide on the system of governance in the country and that the transitional government must be a tool for accountability.

The Alliance commends IGAD-Plus for releasing the document publicly to check against manipulation and political lies.
