Yei Electric Cooperative or YECO, a public power supply in Yei town of Central Equatoria State shut down on Thursday due to fuel shortage.
YECO General Manager Malish Lawrence Taban told Radio Easter that they are still pursuing enough fuel to resume normal operations.
He urges the general public to be patient and calm until power supply returns to normal as they are aware of the usage of electric appliances in Yei Municipality.
Yei Electric Cooperative was an initiative of NRECA International established in 2005 to build a new electric system serving town residents and businesses.
