Western Equatoria State Education ministry on Tuesday formed Arabic teachers committee in Yambio County headed by Taban Aramba, one deputy, secretary-general and three other members.

Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael met over 50 Arabic teachers in Yambio to discuss some effective teaching methods of the language from primary five to eight, Radio Anisa reported.

He advised them not to teach Arabic culture, but basic language in primary and secondary schools.

Minister Phillip challenges teachers to be creative and initiative in their teaching profession to encourage students to love the subject.

Yambio County Education Director Jeremiah Ismail promises to deploy Arabic teachers to all schools, pledging to appoint Arabic supervisor for the County.

The Arabic teachers complain that Arabic was not much incorporated into the government education policy, making many learners to dislike the subject.
